Smart Driver Forms respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information Smart Driver Forms collects, how that information is used, how it is stored, and what happens when you delete your account.
1. Information We Collect
Smart Driver Forms may collect information that you provide when creating or using an account, including your email address, name, driver ID, company or carrier name, phone number, default tractor number, and driver type.
The app also stores information you enter into Smart Driver Forms, including trip dates, order numbers, bill of lading numbers, seal numbers, tractor and trailer information, trip events, customer or location information entered by you, mileage information, expenses, delays, notes, and other information needed to create driver forms.
Smart Driver Forms may also store generated documents, including finalized trip sheets and related PDF files.
2. Account Information
Your email address is used to create and manage your Smart Driver Forms account, authenticate your login, send account-confirmation messages, and provide password-reset services.
Smart Driver Forms does not require a separate username. Your email address serves as your account login identity.
3. Driver Profile Information
Driver profile information may be stored so that commonly used values, such as Driver ID and default tractor number, can automatically populate new forms.
Profile information is associated with your individual account and is not intended to be shared with other driver accounts.
4. Trip and Form Data
Trip information and completed forms may be stored on Smart Driver Forms servers so that records can be synchronized between devices, restored when needed, and retained as part of the Smart Driver Forms record system.
Individual driver accounts are separated from one another. A driver who signs into one account should not have access to another driver's account-specific local or server data.
5. Local Device Storage
Smart Driver Forms stores certain information locally on your device to support offline use and normal app operation.
Account-specific local information may include draft trips, finalized-trip files and metadata, driver settings, and account-specific application state.
Local account information is separated by account so that one driver account does not use another driver's locally stored records.
Some device preferences, such as the selected app theme, may apply to the device rather than to an individual account.
6. Server Synchronization and Storage
Smart Driver Forms may synchronize account, profile, trip, and document information with Smart Driver Forms servers.
Server synchronization allows information to be available on more than one authorized device and helps preserve driver forms if local device data is lost.
7. Finalized Forms and Documents
Finalized forms and related documents may be retained by Smart Driver Forms as business records.
These records may include information that was entered into the form at the time it was created. Information contained within a retained form or document is considered part of that retained record.
8. Account Deletion
You may delete your Smart Driver Forms account from within the app.
Deleting your account removes your login credentials and personal account/profile information, including information used to maintain your active driver profile.
Deleting an account does not automatically delete trip forms, finalized documents, or other business records that Smart Driver Forms retains as part of its records.
When an account is deleted, Smart Driver Forms may retain an anonymous internal identifier so retained forms and documents can continue to be associated with their historical record without retaining the deleted account's active email address or driver profile.
Account-specific local app data associated with the deleted account is also removed from the device as part of the account-deletion process.
9. Retention of Records After Account Deletion
Smart Driver Forms may retain trip forms, finalized documents, related trip records, and associated historical records after an account has been deleted.
This retained information is kept separately from the deleted driver's active login and profile information.
Personal information that is no longer needed to maintain these retained records is removed or anonymized as part of account deletion.
Information that appears within a retained form itself may remain because it forms part of the historical business record.
10. Support Requests
If you contact Smart Driver Forms for support, information you provide in the support request may be used to investigate and respond to your issue.
Support requests associated with an account may contain personal information. Smart Driver Forms may remove account-specific support-request information when an account is deleted, subject to any information that must be retained for legitimate business, security, or legal purposes.
11. Printing and Sharing
Smart Driver Forms may allow you to print, save, export, or share forms and documents.
These actions are initiated by you. Once you share or save information outside Smart Driver Forms, its handling may be subject to the privacy practices of the receiving application, service, person, or storage location.
12. Information We Do Not Currently Collect Through Device Permissions
The current version of Smart Driver Forms does not use device GPS or location permission to track your physical location.
The current version does not use your contacts, microphone, or camera for normal Smart Driver Forms operation.
Location information appearing in forms, such as cities, states, customers, pickup locations, or delivery locations, is information entered as part of the driver form and is not collected through continuous GPS tracking.
13. Advertising and Analytics
Smart Driver Forms does not currently display third-party advertising.
The current version does not use third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics services to track users for advertising purposes.
If Smart Driver Forms adds analytics, advertising, or other data-collection technologies in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.
14. Security
Smart Driver Forms uses account authentication and access controls intended to prevent one driver account from accessing another driver's account-specific information.
Smart Driver Forms also uses server-side access controls and private storage for protected application records.
No electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Smart Driver Forms works to use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information being handled.
15. Children
Smart Driver Forms is designed for drivers and other users of driver-form services and is not intended for children.
Smart Driver Forms does not knowingly design its services for the collection of personal information from children.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Smart Driver Forms may update this Privacy Policy as the application, website, services, or legal requirements change.
When material changes are made, the effective date at the top of this policy will be updated.
